Questions, answered.

Common questions about starting care with Emoneeds, our plans, privacy, and how sessions work. If your question isn't here, a 15-minute call or a message on WhatsApp is the easiest way to ask.

Getting started

The simplest first step is a 15-minute call. It's a short, no-pressure conversation, not an assessment. You tell us a little about what's going on, we listen, and we suggest a sensible next step, whether that's a single session or a plan. Book a call when you're ready.

Your first full session is usually a longer conversation (around 60 minutes) where the clinician gets to know what you've been experiencing, how long it's been going on, and how it's affecting your daily life. You set the pace and share only what you're ready to. There's nothing to prepare.

No. You don't need a referral, a diagnosis, or the right words to reach out. Part of what the first conversation is for is figuring out what's going on. There's no wrong reason to talk to someone.

For most people, yes. Research, including our own published work, shows online sessions work as well as in-person for most concerns. You can also mix online and in-clinic if you prefer. See how care works.

We work with adults and young people across a wide range of concerns, from everyday stress and anxiety to depression, OCD, bipolar, and more. We also support specific life-stages and situations, like students, working professionals, new mothers, and caregivers. See who we help.

Plans and pricing

A single session starts from ₹1,500. If you'd like ongoing, structured support, our care plans start from ₹6,000 a month for Grow (therapy only) and ₹7,000 a month for Bloom (therapy and psychiatry together). See plans and pricing for what's included in each.

Grow is intensive therapy without medication, for when therapy alone is the right fit. Bloom brings therapy and psychiatry together, with a full care team around you. If you're not sure which fits, a care advisor can help you pick. Compare them on the plans page.

Yes. You can start with a single session, meet a clinician, and decide afterwards. What you pay for that first session is credited toward a plan if you choose to continue, so trying one session costs you nothing extra if you upgrade.

Yes. If your needs change, you can move between plans. Talk to your care advisor and they'll sort out the switch and explain how it affects your billing.

Privacy and confidentiality

Yes. What you discuss stays between you and your care team. Nothing is shared with your family, employer, college, or anyone else unless you specifically ask us to. We're aligned with India's DPDP data-protection framework. You can read our full privacy approach.

Only your care team, the clinicians directly involved in your care, can see your clinical notes. They are not visible to HR, employers, insurers, or family members. Access is limited to the people supporting your care.

Not unless you want them to. We don't contact family members about your care without your consent. If you'd like family involved (for example in family or caregiver sessions), that happens only with your agreement.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act is India's data-protection law. In practice it means your personal and health information is collected only for your care, kept secure, and not shared without your consent. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Confidentiality is the rule. The narrow exceptions are situations where there's a serious risk to your safety or someone else's, where a clinician may need to act to keep people safe. Your clinician will always be honest with you about this. If you or someone you know is in crisis right now, please call Tele-MANAS on 14416, AASRA on +91 98204 66726, or iCall on +91 91529 87821.

Sessions and clinicians

When you reach out, we consider what you're dealing with, your preferences (such as language or whether you'd like a psychiatrist or therapist), and availability, then match you to a clinician who fits. The 15-minute call helps us get this right.

Yes, and you won't have to explain yourself or justify it. Fit matters a great deal in therapy, and finding the right person sometimes takes a try or two. We make switching easy in your first couple of sessions, at no extra cost.

Our clinicians work across English and Hindi, and several offer other languages including Punjabi, Malayalam, and more. Let us know your preference when you reach out and we'll match you accordingly. You can see languages on each clinician's profile on the team page.

It depends on what you're working on. Many people start weekly and move to less frequent sessions as they need us less. Your clinician will suggest a rhythm and adjust it with you over time.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose and prescribe medication. A psychologist and a counsellor provide talk therapy and do not prescribe. Many people see a therapist alone; some benefit from both working together. Your care team will guide what fits you.

Logistics

Payments are handled online through secure links for sessions and plans. Your care advisor will share the payment details when you book or sign up.

We have in-person clinics in Gurgaon and at Greater Kailash (GK) in Delhi, and we offer online care across India and to Indians abroad. See our locations for addresses and timings.

Both. You can do sessions online, in person at our Gurgaon or Delhi GK clinics, or a mix, whatever fits your week. You stay with the same clinician either way.

Online sessions take place over a private video call. You'll get a link and a time. All you need is a quiet space and a stable internet connection. See how care works.

Still have a question?

A 15-minute call or a message on WhatsApp is the easiest way to ask. We will not rush you, and we will not push a plan you do not need.

Whenever you're ready, however you'd like.

Three ways to start.
