Emoneeds
Our story

We started Emoneeds because mental health care in India was broken, and we'd lost people to it.

Founded in 2021. Treating 20,000+ individuals. Built around the belief that care should be personalised, persistent, and within reach.

The story

Emoneeds began in 2021, but the story behind it is personal. Our family had watched people we loved struggle within a fragmented mental-health system, and we had experienced loss ourselves.

We saw sessions end without follow-up, medication prescribed without therapy, diagnoses become permanent labels, and care that was either financially out of reach or culturally disconnected.

Mental-health care was fragmented. People moved between underfunded clinics, expensive private practices, and online services built around one-off sessions. There was little continuity or coordination, and families were often left to hold everything together without support.

We built Emoneeds to do this differently. We match clinicians carefully and support sessions with assessments, check-ins, and family involvement when helpful. Pricing is explained upfront. For chronic conditions, we plan for continued care instead of treating recovery as a fixed number of sessions.

Since 2021, we've worked with 20,000+ individuals across India and 17 countries. We still know our clinicians personally, review how care is delivered, and build for relationships that can continue over time.

“Care should be personalised, persistent, and within reach. That's the whole thing.”
Our vision

Mental healthcare should feel as normal as care for a fever or a broken bone.

We are building a place where people can ask for help without shame and continue receiving care for as long as they need it.

That means therapy, psychiatry, and family support working together, including for severe and long-term mental-health conditions.

What we stand for

The principles behind how we work.

Personalisation

We match before we treat. You can switch clinicians free within your first two sessions, and no two care plans have to look the same.

Continuity

Long-term conditions need long-term thinking. Our clinicians coordinate treatment and stay involved beyond individual appointments.

Clinical depth

We support common concerns such as stress and anxiety, as well as serious conditions including bipolar disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia.

Family and community

Recovery rarely happens in isolation. With the client's consent, we help families understand what is happening, how to provide support, and how to manage their own stress.

Access

Good mental-health care should not depend on where someone lives. We provide care online, through our clinics, and through partnerships reaching smaller towns and underserved communities.

Evidence and accountability

We use standardised assessments, track clinical progress, and contribute to research. We want to know whether care is helping rather than count attendance alone.

Human-first technology

Technology helps people reach care, clinicians coordinate, and teams track outcomes. It should strengthen human care, never replace clinical judgment or human connection.

Honesty and privacy

We explain prices, options, and trade-offs clearly. We recommend a less expensive option when it is a better fit. Client records remain private, and personal data is never sold.
